Harry Becker (1865-1928)

After spending lots of time on getting funding for a new sports pavilion on Southwold Common, I'm pleased to say thoughts are returning to my collaborative project on a Catalogue Raisonne on the lithographs of Harry Becker.
This is a real labour of love. The web has turned up some real gems scattered around the globe and I'm really hoping the publication of the book will ferret out some more.
I've also been returning to the golf course with mixed results. More on this after I venture out onto the Common on Saturday. Only 1 week since my last post this time. Am I getting the hang of this blogging lark? Watch this space :-).

On Abstinence

Wow - nearly three weeks since my last (and indeed first) post. Where did that go? Certainly not in an alcoholic haze since I've given the stuff up for Lent! I'd like to say I feel a lot better for it, but what's the point in lying to your blog? Still, only two more weeks to go then the profits at the Red Lion and Sole Bay will return to normal.

Southwold U7s Visit North Walsham

An early start for the trip to North Walsham. Southwold lost both games to a well drilled North Walsham squad who had the luxury of being able to swap players at will.
Southwold played well and can take heart from the fact that this is probably the best opposition they will face this season. Rachel and I were immensely proud of James's attitude and performance as illustrated in this photo.
