Wow - yesterday was a glorious one on the East Coast. The bike ride alluded to in my previous post was one of those where the wind always seemed to be in the face, but it was still wonderful (Southwold-Walberswick-Blythburgh-Wenhaston-Blyford-Sotherton-Uggeshall-Wangford-Reydon-Southwold) and suffused with Spring-like qualities ... probably on the basis that it is, in fact Spring! Note to self: need to study "Observer Book of Birds" more closely since the sky was filled with flocks of UFBs!
On my return James and I walked over to the rugby club, Rachel enjoying a much-needed lie-in (Clue: see previous post). I was introduced to William Scott's son Robert (Berlin Blue 4 reproduced above in their honour) and we had an interesting chat about producing catalogue raisonnees, something we are both engaged in at the moment.
After lunch we had a glorious walk in Westleton woods with the Hayes family who live on the edge thereof. James and I then deposited Rachel at home and whizzed over to see Mum and Dad prior to their Easter break in Malta. We then had an excellent Chinese in Gourmet's Paradise. (Other note to self: always order one dish less than you think you'll eat). All in all a pretty wonderful Sunday.
